SUMMARY

In version 4.0 of Microsoft Excel, when you choose Help for Lotus 1-2- 3 Users from the balloon menu (Window menu in system versions earlier than System 7), Microsoft Excel displays the Lotus 1-2-3 Help dialog box. If the command you type in the Command box is not a valid Lotus 1-2-3 command, Microsoft Excel displays the error message:

Microsoft Help - Help topic does not exist

When you choose the OK button on this alert box, Microsoft Excel displays the same message again; choose the OK button again and Microsoft Excel displays the Excel Help Contents screen.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in version 4.0 of Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
