SYMPTOMS

Because the .OST file is linked to a mailbox, and if the mailbox is deleted and a new mailbox is created with the exact same properties, the .OST file will not be available, and you will receive the following error message:

   The file c:\win95\user.ost can not be accessed because it has
   been configured for use with a different mailbox.

CAUSE

This is by design.
