XADM: SP2 Resets Logging on the Information Store

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Exchange 4.0 Service Pack 2, the Diagnostics Logging options are reset to NONE on the Information Store, that includes the System, Private, and Public databases. All other object settings, such as Directory Service, Directory Synchronization and message transfer agent, retain their Diagnostics Logging settings.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Exchange version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
