XCLN: When You View Message from Explorer, Client Stops

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to view previous or next messages that were dragged from Explorer, the operation may appear to freeze or hang the client.

The only way to exit this operation is to select CTRL+ALT+DEL and close down the client application.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange clients listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
