Check Box Dimmed in FoxPro for Windows Screen

If full write-access rights for a selected database file are not set, a check box in a FoxPro for Windows screen will be dimmed, although the data in the field will correctly show up as either an "X" or a blank as the record pointer is moved.

The check box in a FoxPro for Windows screen will not be enabled if the database is read-only or if a user does not have write access to it. This behavior will occur when a data file has been included in a project or when the selected database is a cursor (resulting from a query).
