The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5 and 2.5a
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, and 2.5a

Page L3-910 of the FoxPro version 2.5 "Language Reference" manual states that the Debug window can be opened with the SET ECHO ON command. The Debug window can be opened with the ACTIVATE WINDOW DEBUG command. SET ECHO ON activates the Trace window, not the Debug window.

This command is also incorrectly documented on page C3-739 of the FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS "Commands & Functions" manual.

Microsoft has confirmed that these documentation errors exist on Page L3-910 of the FoxPro version 2.5 "Language Reference" manual, and on Page C3-739 of the FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS "Commands & Functions" manual.
