The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.0

When you are using UNIQUE indexes, FoxPro 2.0 for MS-DOS can exhibit, under simultaneous-update conditions, key loss and/or out-of-sequence keys.

This problem occurs with any UNIQUE index when multiple users are updating the key(s) at the same time. The effects of this problem are especially noticeable in .CDX files.

To correct this condition, reindex the database.

To avoid this condition, either don't use UNIQUE indexes, or upgrade to FoxPro 2.5 for MS-DOS.
