PRB: Remove Line If Blank Option Doesn't Work in Report

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5 and 2.5a

SYMPTOMS

In FoxPro for Windows, the Remove Line If Blank option for a report expression's Print When condition does not work.

CAUSE

If any other expression vertically overlaps the report expression, even if by only one pixel, the report still prints with whitespace where the blank expression was originally located.

This behavior occurs because the fields are overlapping vertically, so the line is not considered to be a blank line.

RESOLUTION

Move each object farther apart vertically by clicking the lowest object and then dragging it downward slightly on the screen. Repeat this procedure for each line where objects overlap vertically.
