BUG: Incorrect Error Message: "Wizards Require FPATH.PLB"

SYMPTOMS

The error message "Wizards require FPATH.PLB to run" is displayed when you attempt to invoke a wizard.

CAUSE

The file WIZARD.PLB could not be found. This error message is incorrect. It should say "Wizards require WIZARD.PLB to run."

RESOLUTION

Make sure the file WIZARD.PLB is located in your FoxPro for MS-DOS directory.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.6 for MS-DOS. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Rename WIZARD.PLB.

  2. From the Run menu, choose Wizards, and select any wizard.

    A dialog box appears asking for the location of WIZARD.PLB.

  3. Choose Cancel.

The "Wizards require FPATH.PLB to run" error message is displayed.
