SYMPTOMS

When you make a report by using the Group/Total Report Wizard, some of the data in the Detail band for fields that are being totaled may appear to be missing. But the total for the Group is correct.

CAUSE

When the Report Wizard makes a Report, it checks the Print When Box and chooses Print Repeated Values NO.

RESOLUTION

To get all the values to print in the Detail band for fields being summed, you need to modify the Report in Report Writer.

  1. In the Command window, enter MODIFY REPORT <Report Name>.

  2. In Report Writer, double-click the Field to bring up the Report Expression Dialog box.

  3. Click the Print When Box to open the Print When Dialog box.

  4. Change Print Repeated Values to YES.

  5. Save the Report.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
