BUG: Colored Objects Have Black Background in MS-DOS FoxPro

SYMPTOMS

If an object is created in FoxPro for Windows and a pen color is set on the object, a black background will appear around the object when it is transported to FoxPro for MS-DOS.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Create a new screen in FoxPro for Windows.

  2. Create a box object on the screen.

  3. Click the box object, and from the Object menu, choose Pen Color. Then select the color red.

  4. Save the screen as "clrtst," and quit FoxPro for Windows.

  5. Start FoxPro for MS-DOS, and open clrtst.

  6. Transport the screen over to FoxPro for MS-DOS.

  7. The box object contains a black background.
