Last reviewed: September 14, 1995
Article ID: Q136757
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.6a

SYMPTOMS

When running an .app file created on FoxPro for UNIX in FoxPro for MS-DOS, the "File not found" error message may appear when running report or screen files.

CAUSE

Microsoft is researching this behavior and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

RESOLUTION

Either rebuild the .app file or exclude reports and screens in FoxPro for UNIX prior to exporting to the MS-DOS platform. This enables FoxPro for MS-DOS to find and use report and screen files.

MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. In FoxPro for UNIX, create an application containing a sample report and a sample screen.

  2. Use doscp to copy the application to an MS-DOS formatted floppy disk.

  3. Run the application in FoxPro for MS-DOS.
