SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, when the user moves from field to field in a READ, FoxPro always sets the value of a variable to zero.

CAUSE

The numeric field has both a PICTURE and a SIZE clause and the length of the PICTURE is smaller than the value specified in the SIZE clause.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS released July 30, 1991.
