The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

In FoxPro 2.0, if a popup is defined with PROMPT FIELDS, FoxPro does not correctly recognize the DELETED setting.

CAUSE

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS dated September 26, 1991.

MORE INFORMATION

The SET DELETED ON command specifies that records marked for deletion are ignored. When a popup is defined with a PROMPT FIELD <expr> clause and <expr> specifies a field from an open database, the records in that field become the options in the popup. The expected behavior is that records marked for deletion are omitted from the popup list.
