SYMPTOMS

When running the Extended Version of early (prior to 3/25/92) releases of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS, memory is not released when the RELEASE MODULE command is issued.

CAUSE

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS releases prior to March 25, 1992.

The RELEASE MODULE command releases memory occupied by a binary routine that has been loaded into memory. Up to 16 binary routines can be placed in memory at one time.

RESOLUTION

This problem was corrected in the Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS release dated March 25, 1992.
