  • Microsoft H/PC Explorer version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft H/PC Explorer version 1.0 synchronization does not function with Microsoft Outlook 97.

RESOLUTION

Install the latest version of H/PC Explorer software to resolve this problem. Microsoft H/PC Explorer version 1.1 is available for download from Microsoft's Internet site at:

   http://www.microsoft.com/windowsce/hpc/software/hpcexplorer.htm.

MORE INFORMATION

The new version, H/PC Explorer 1.1, retains all its current functionality and adds support for Outlook 97, Word 97, Excel 97 and Windows NT Workstation 4.0.

It's important that you install and configure Microsoft Outlook before you synchronize your H/PC. If you do not, H/PC Explorer 1.1 will not be able to find the location for your calendar, contacts, tasks and e-mail that your desktop software uses during setup.

Microsoft Outlook is a new desktop information management program included in Office 97 that helps you organize and share information on your desktop. You can use Outlook to manage your e-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, documents, and files.
