Configuring H/PC Explorer Appears to Synchronize Your Computers

SYMPTOMS

When you change the H/PC Explorer configuration on your desktop computer, your computer and Handheld PC (H/PC) may seem to synchronize data.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because H/PC Explorer uses a common dialog box for both synchronization and configuration.

To synchronize your computers, use any of the following methods:

From Your Desktop Computer

  1. Connect your H/PC to your desktop computer.

  2. On your desktop computer, start H/PC Explorer.

  3. On the Tools menu, click Synchronize Now.

From Your Handheld PC

  1. Connect your H/PC to your desktop computer.

  2. On your H/PC, tap Start, and then tap Programs.

  3. Double-tap Communications, and then double-tap PC Link.

  4. Close the Communications window.
