Article ID: Q164192
The information in this article applies to:
  • Internet Explorer Administration Kit version 3.2a

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) Wizard, if you select the root of a local or network drive as the destination folder, you receive the following error message:

The destination folder cannot be the root directory of the Destination
drive. Specify a valid folder; if it does not exist, the wizard will
   create it.

CAUSE

The IEAK Wizard does not allow any root drive to be selected as the destination folder, even if the drive letter is not the boot partition.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, run the IEAK Wizard and specify a subdirectory or folder below the root directory as the destination.
