SYMPTOMS

When you use the IntelliPoint software version 2.0 to assign the IntelliMouse wheel button to the Switch To Shell feature, a new instance of Windows Explorer starts each time you click the IntelliMouse wheel button.

The IntelliPoint software version 2.0 lets you assign various functions to the IntelliMouse wheel button. To change the assignment of the IntelliMouse wheel button, follow these steps:

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Mouse.

  2. Click the Wheel tab, click the Turn On The Wheel Button check box to select it, click one of the options in the Button Assignment list, and then click OK.
