Pointing Device Not Detected When Connected to Sharp Laptop

SYMPTOMS

When you connect one of the Microsoft pointing devices listed above to the serial port on a Sharp SVGA Multimedia PC9000 laptop computer, the pointing device may not be detected.

RESOLUTION

If your pointing device is PS/2 (mouse) port compatible, you can work around this issue by connecting the pointing device to the PS/2 port on the computer. To determine if your pointing device is PS/2 port compatible, check the label on the bottom of the pointing device or read the documentation included with the device.
