  • Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0

OVERVIEW

The Microsoft Office Fast Start is copied to the Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Folder when you install Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0. This utility increases the overall performance of Microsoft Office applications. The utility loads OLE and Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) when you start applications; once OLE is loaded, it remains in memory for an entire Windows session. When you use Fast Start, the following tasks are enhanced dramatically:

  • Starting a Microsoft Office application
  • Opening a Microsoft Office document
  • Saving a Microsoft Office document
  • Copying and Pasting between Microsoft Office documents (using OLE components)
  • Printing Microsoft Office documents
