OFF95: Temporary Directory May Be Left Over After Install

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Office, the following folders may be left on the hard disk drive:

     C:\~mssetup.t\~msstfqf.t\

In addition, this folder may contain the Acmsetup.exe file.

WORKAROUND

After rebooting your computer, you can use the Windows Explorer to manually delete the extra files and folders.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
