MORE INFORMATION

Web PageViews can be created by installing the Server Pack located on the Microsoft Office 97 CD-Rom in the SrvPack folder. The Web PageView is part of the Microsoft Office Web Find Fast indexer. This indexer utility allows you to index multiple document locations on your Web server. You can combine all of these locations into one index, which makes searching for any file on your Web server as easy as clicking your browser. These results are then returned to the Web page that is generated by Microsoft Office Web Find Fast. The links that are returned function as either Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) or universal naming convention (UNC) file references. You can customize all HTML pages to use the features of Office Web Find Fast, including sorting by relevance, file name, save date, and size. A PageView allows you to display the documents within the Web Find Fast index in a hierarchical list.
