The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft OLE version 1.0

OleQueryOutOfDate() does not function as documented. It does not return any useful information for objects.

In the current version of the OLE libraries, the OleQueryOutOfDate() function was not implemented. It always returns OLE_ERROR_OUTOFDATE for linked objects. The library currently provides no method to determine whether an object is out of date. Implementation of this function is planned for future versions of OLE.
