The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Outlook 97

SYMPTOMS

When you try to view or delete a recurring appointment in Microsoft Outlook 97, Day/Week/Month view, you may get the following error message:

Can't open this item. The object could not be found.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, do the following:

  1. On the View menu, point to Current View and click Recurring Appointments.

  2. Double-click to open the appointment or right-click then click Delete to remove the appointment.

NOTE: If you are opening an item in step 2 above, this workaround will only let you open the recurring series and not the individual occurrence.
