SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft 3-Pane Extension with Microsoft Outlook 97 you are unable to perform a Copy and Paste from the 3-Pane Extension window.

CAUSE

This is a limitation of the 3-Pane Extension.

RESOLUTION

The Chilton Preview for Microsoft Outlook add-on, a shareware program, also puts a third pane on your Outlook window. You can copy text from the preview pane, launch attachments, and click on Internet URLs and e-mail addresses to launch your browser or a new message. It also allows you to scroll through messages without opening them and even see what files are attached.
