OL97: Schedule+ Meeting Request Opens Horizontally Minimized

SYMPTOMS

When using Microsoft Schedule+ as your primary calendar in Microsoft Outlook 97, meeting requests received from other users may open in a horizontally minimized state.

CAUSE

This is a problem with Outlook version 8.03, running on Microsoft Windows 95. It does not occur when running on the Microsoft Windows NT platform.

RESOLUTION

To view the current meeting request, maximize the message by dragging down the lower border or clicking the maximize button in the upper right corner of the message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook version 8.03. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

Choose Schedule+ as your primary calendar by following these steps.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. On the Calendar tab, click to select "Use Microsoft Schedule+ as my primary calendar."

    NOTE: This option is not available unless you previously installed Schedule+ on the system.

  3. Have another user invite you to a meeting.

  4. Open the meeting request message.

RESULTS: The message is displayed minimized horizontally. Only the Title bar and the Menu bar are viewable.

To expand the meeting request message, click on the lower window border and drag down, or click the maximize button in the upper right corner of the window.
