PC Win: Err Msg: There Is Not Enough Memory or System...

SYMPTOMS

When you export a folder to a disk location that does not have adequate drive space available, no error message is displayed. Also, during the Export or Import of the folder, no error is generated. When a user attempts to open a message within the suspect folder, the following error message may be displayed:

   There is not enough memory or system resources to complete this action.
   Try closing some Windows and performing the action again.

CAUSE

The information in the folder was not completely copied and the message or attachment in question could not be accessed.

RESOLUTION

Perform the export again using a location with adequate disk space.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in version 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
