PC OS2: Trap 000D When Restarting After Lost Connection

SYMPTOMS

If you lose connection to the postoffice, then quit Mail, restarting Mail causes an OS/2 protection violation and displays a Trap 000D error.

RESOLUTION

Restart the computer and establish a network connection to the postoffice. To prevent a recurrence, re-establish connection to the postoffice before you restart Mail.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for PC Networks, OS/2 workstation. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
