SYMPTOMS

Package Number is an inventory attribute for software that appears when a NetWare distribution server is introduced into a Systems Management Server site. However, only NetWare servers report a value for this field. All other machines report null.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.0. This problem was corrected in Systems Management Server version 1.1.
