SYMPTOMS

To run Microsoft Office 97 as a shared network application on Windows NT clients, you must install Systems Management Server version 1.2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later. Microsoft Office 97 works as a shared application under Windows 95.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.2. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.2.
