SMSINST: "Please Enter a Positive Integer" Error

SYMPTOMS

If you use a comma when you type in a number greater than 999 in the Line Number field of the "Add to Autoexec.bat or Config.sys" dialog box, you will receive the following error message:

   Please enter a positive integer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do not use a comma when typing the line number.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server Installer version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
