SYMPTOMS

Systems Management Server hardware inventory fails to detect the IRQ and the port address values for 10/100 Mbps PCI Ethernet adapters.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

This problem was reproduced under Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT Server using Intel 82557-based 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet PCI adapters and 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 10/100 Mbps PCI (3c905) adapters.
