SYMPTOMSAn Access Violation occurs in SNAEXP.EXE after assigning multiple LU's to a workstation. When this problem was observed, SNAEXP.EXE failed with an access violation (0xC0000005) in the following routine:
snaexp!CAboutDlg__`RTTI Complete Object Locator' CAUSESNA Manager was not properly releasing an object, leading to an access violation.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT SNA Server 3.0, 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1), and 3.0 SP2. A supported fix is now available for SNA Server 3.0 SP2, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
