BUG: Incorrect Parameter Numbers Returned by srv_paramnumber()

SYMPTOMS

The Open Data Services (ODS) function srv_paramnumber() returns invalid parameter numbers when handling a remote procedure call.

NOTE: The number returned for a parameter may differ depending on which parameter is being examined and how many parameters are specified in the remote procedure call.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Open Data Services version 4.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
