SYMPTOMS

When installing the Microsoft Windows NT SQL Server client utilities, the SQL Service Manager icon is not created. Page 97 of the "Configuration Guide" states that when SQL Administrator is installed, the SQL Service Manager is automatically installed. The executable, SQLMGR.EXE, is copied to the installation directory.

RESOLUTION

The icon can be created by adding a new program item to the program group from Program Manager.
