FIX: Err 107 Creating VIEW with a UNION & Correlated Subquery

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to create a VIEW that contains a UNION clause and a correlated subquery, the creation of the VIEW fails with error 107.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change your VIEW definition, and avoid using both a UNION and a correlated subquery.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server versions 6.0 and 6.5. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
