WD98: "For Each...Next" Loop Gives Wrong Result with Endnotes

SYMPTOMS

Using the "For Each...Next" statement in a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macro or procedure to return footnotes, endnotes, or comments for a designated paragraph returns all footnotes, endnotes, or comments in the document.

The following sample Visual Basic macro uses a "For...Next" loop to extract the endnotes for a specified paragraph.

      ' Set the paragraph to return notes.
      iParaNum = 1

      ' NOTE: If the specified paragraph does not exist
      ' in the active document, an error occurs.

         Set oNote = ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(iParaNum).Range.Endnotes
         For iCount = 1 To oNote.Count
