The information in this article applies to:

  • The Visual Workbench Integrated Debugger included with: Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows, version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

When debugging QuickWin applications inside the Microsoft Visual Workbench, the CTRL+C key sequence, which is the accelerator for exiting the applica- tion, may not terminate the application. CTRL+C works properly when running a QuickWin application outside the Visual Workbench.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in the Visual Workbench, version 1.5.

MORE INFORMATION

The following sample code illustrates the workaround to this problem:

Sample Code

/* Compile options needed: /Zi /Od /Mq
*/

   #include <stdio.h>

   void main(void)
   {
      printf("Hit CTRL+C to exit this app");
   }
