SUMMARY

The tools in this package provide fixes for some problems that you may encounter when you use the Microsoft Visual C++ 4.0 and 4.0a RISC Edition update for the Digital Alpha.

The problems that this update addresses include:

  • Debugger unexpectedly reports: 

          <filename> does not contain debugging information.
  • Unexpected behavior when linking large projects.

NOTE: The version 4.0a RISC Edition update for the Digital Alpha must be installed before you install this patch. If you have version 4.0 and not 4.0a, this patch will not work correctly.
