BUG: GP Fault from Clicking App Studio Edit Menu

   The App Studio, included with:
    - Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows, versions 1.0 and 1.5

SYMPTOMS

Clicking on the Edit menu while loading a resource script can cause a general protection (GP) fault in App Studio. If the status window displays the message "Loading Resources, process groups," clicking the Edit menu causes a GP fault.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
