BUG: TabbedTextOut() in Metric Mapping Mode Incorrect

SYMPTOMS

When using TabbedTextOut() in one of the metric mapping modes, a rectangle is displayed in the current background color above the text that is displayed. This rectangle is the width and height of the line of text. The text is displayed with a background that is the current background color. However, the space between the text (where the tab is) is not displayed with a background that is the current background color.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Microsoft Windows version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
