  • Microsoft Windows operating system versions 3.1, 3.11

SUMMARY

The Hercules Graphics Station video card runs correctly in standard mode only if you are using version 2.05 or higher of this card. You can locate the version of the card by running TIGACD.EXE, which ships with the card. The TIGACD sign-on message displays the TIGA version number.

If you try to start Windows in standard mode with an earlier version of this card, the lower half of the screen displays garbage characters and the upper half is black.

MORE INFORMATION

Drivers for the Hercules Graphics Station card can be obtained by calling Hercules at (800) 532-0600 or by contacting the Hercules bulletin board service at one of the following numbers:

   (510) 623-7449 (v.32 bis 2400-14.4K)
   (510) 623-7032 (v.32 2400-9600)
   (510) 623-7142 (1200-2400)

Note: Even with these drivers, Windows does not run in standard mode unless the version of the card itself is 2.05 or higher. Also, using the TIGA drivers or the VGA driver that ships with Windows 3.1 does not allow this card to work in standard mode.

The Hercules Graphics Station card is manufactured by Hercules, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
