TI MicroLaser w/EXP16ODI.COM Driver May Cause 15-Second Delay

SYMPTOMS

When you print a document to a Texas Instruments (TI) MicroLaser PS35 or TI MicroLaser Plus using the PS35 printer driver, the local computer stops responding (hangs) for approximately 15 seconds when the final pages print. Control of the machine returns after the print job is completed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows for Workgroups version 3.11. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

WORKAROUND

If you are using a TI MicroLaser Plus and PS35 printer driver, you can work around this problem by changing the emulation mode to HP LaserJet II, and using the HP LaserJet II printer driver.
