Media Vision Multimedia Drivers May Have Problems Installing

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1
  • Microsoft Windows with Multimedia Extensions version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

Media Vision's Multimedia drivers on CD-ROM for Windows with Multimedia Extensions 1.0 (Windows with Multimedia) do not install correctly in Windows version 3.1.

This problem may cause the following error messages to appear:

   Cannot load the Pro Audio Spectrum Stereo Wave form Driver. The
   driver file maybe missing. Try installing the driver again, or
   contact your system administrator.

   -or-

   The "Pro Audio Spectrum Stereo Wave form" driver does not appear in
   the installed drivers list after installing.

CAUSE

This is due to an incompatibility problem with the OEMSETUP.INF file for the drivers.

WORKAROUND

Media Vision has newer drivers for Windows 3.1 and a compatible OEMSETUP.INF file. To obtain these drivers, contact Media Vision.

The Multimedia drivers included here are manufactured by a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
