Macintosh Finder Sometimes Does Not Display File

SYMPTOMS

You can sometimes not see a file in a shared directory on the server from your Macintosh computer, while the same file is visible from your Windows NT server. You can perform actions on the file from the Macintosh, but often the Finder does not display the file.

CAUSE

A time stamp problem resulted in any files created within the same second to not be updated.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
