File Manager Reports Size of NetWare Volume Incorrectly

SYMPTOMS

When you compare the total size of a NetWare volume between File Manager (using the Gateway Services for NetWare [GSNW] or Client Services for NetWare ([CSNW]) and the Novell CHKVOL utility, you may notice a large difference.

The CHKVOL utility is reporting the correct total size of the NetWare volume.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
