Times Matching on DHCP Clients and Servers

Dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) clients are unavailable (grayed out) in the list of active leases on a DHCP server. If the times between the client and server are not synchronized, the DHCP clients IP lease may expire on the DHCP server before the lease time has actually passed. When a DHCP server leases an address to a client, it is done so with the DHCP server's clock time assigned to the lease. If the clients clock time is different than the servers, the DHCP server may show active clients in the Active Leases window as unavailable.
