Updating Database Appears to Insert Duplicate Copy

SYMPTOMS

If you insert a database as a field, make a change to the source information, and then update the database in Word for Windows, it appears that the database is duplicated in Word, but your document only contains one copy of the database.

CAUSE

This is a display problem that temporarily causes the old result and the new result to be visible at the same time.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 6.0, 6.0a for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
