NORMAL.DOT Not Saved After Starting Word with /A Switch

SYMPTOMS

Word for Windows does not save changes to your NORMAL.DOT template when you start Word with the /a switch.

CAUSE

This is a design feature of Word. The /a switch starts Word without loading any templates or add-in programs.
